'Tis The Season' ... to catch up!

Sorry I have been away from my blog so long that I forgot it's name!!!  My life has changed since last I shared. We have moved to a new town, to a nice little apartment a short distance from the beach. It seems that everything is settled down finally, and we are prepared for a Merry Christmas!.
Here is a short story of our 'happenings' since last spring.

My precious mother-in-law became very ill; so we decided to move in with her and her husband in hopes of helping. We packed up and my wonderful husband filled the car with the first load. I remained to finish the details. Near the end of his 11 hour drive, and just blocks from his destination, the car was tail-ended. Nothing serious-just dents and  boo-boos. (The first time for our year old car).
After getting situated in the small bedroom and unloading the rest into a storage unit, he came back for me and the odds and ends. Another 11 hours, then we were finally in our new
abode with a totally new life.  We hardly had time to breath and 'mom' was being transported to Dr.s and hospitals - multiple times. In two weeks she had become bed ridden. We  just visited her, then stopped for dinner on the way home. While waiting for the traffic light to change, we were hit from behind - a 6 car pile up! There were injuries. Ours were not serious - a trip in the
ambulance for me (on a back board). My husband remained at the scene to be sure everyone was being cared for,  then he drove himself to the ER.  Xrays for both of us then released; my 'whiplash' was painful for a week or so. He had a sore foot and jammed fingers, which healed quickly. We are grateful that we were the first car in line. Our front end wasn't touched thanks to my husbands quick reflex; but the back end was hit again in the same place... plus much more.  Thanks God  for always being here with us through thick and thin.

Many weeks passed and 'mom' was still being driven by ambulance to the ER, hospital, and Dr.s repeatedly. She was slowly failing. She passed away in September just a short time
before her next birthday. We miss her a lot.

As Forest Gump would say   " And that's all I have to say about that."
