WHEW !!!

Here I am in south Florida. The most amazing sunsets, and the vast blue skies with a few cotton-ball clouds, and an unbelievable 88%'s! Must be a cold front passing through!  Rain?  Long time no see! The retention ponds are nearly dry.

Do you remember the joke about Arizona seeming cooler because it has dry heat... well, stick your head in the oven and experience dry heat --- it's STILL HOT. That is how it is here, even the mere 88% feels extreme. This time of year we no longer get the Gulf breezes out of the west passing through at around 15 mph. Summer usually brings the hot air coming from the south or over land from the east at 5 mph. Previously we got the rain and storms from the east but not so far this year. It all seems to be going north of us ... darn!! Well, enough of the weather report.

So, beside spending your money wisely - on A/C, what can you do to make yourself 'feel better'- become a hermit? stay in a cool bath until you shrivel?
soak your feet in ice water?

Well, these are my ideas - only go out at dark but be prepared for the mosquitoes, and most helpful:

1) drink your morning coffee out of a snowman cup while watching 'ELF' on DVD

2) have lunch sitting in front of your computer 'fireplace' (be sure to allow the background music to calm you) and have a scoop of ice cream.

3)  Whistle or sing Christmas carols throughout the day.

4)  Make cotton ball snowmen or snowballs (with a wrapped mint candy stuffed in it) and throw it at a family member or if you are alone, at the mirror.
5)  Now close your eyes and eat the mint while you imagine it is a candy cane.

6)  Don't forget to read a Christmas story before bedtime, and fall asleep listening for Santa to come.

Silly?  You bet!   But, anything to make your  day happier!
