Civility - politeness; courtesy; attention.

Are we "civilized"? Have we changed from our "savage existence"?

Times have indeed changed and so have we. In most homes, both parents must work to support the family. The influence of parents has become minimal at best. Children spend more time in day care or after school programs. Now, their greatest influence is the other children. What are they learning - how to survive in a "pack". The meek must submit to the bullies, or be mocked or ignored.


What can we do about it?

I recently found a group on the web (Because IT MATTERS) that is trying to make a difference

They are offering ideas to help us "return to civility". Perhaps we can again create "communities" where we care about each other.

That is my hope and my goal.
