When is a friend no longer a friend? Is it only when he or she hurts you? Is it when distance and time come between you? Can friendship be for a season only? Do friends "come and go"?
What is a friend, anyway? Just "a person you know and like" as the dictionary says, or is there more?
Is friendship a relationship? If it is, then how do we work it out? Do we ever give up, or just keep trying to maintain it?
Is it still a friendship when it is one sided? She never calls me, should I continue to call her? He never speaks to me first; does that mean we are no longer friends?
One last question (after wrestling with these questions ); CAN YOU FOLLOW YOUR TRUTH AND LOVE YOURSELF IN EACH SITUATION?

Something I thought of after posting the last comment... There is a fantastic book that has helped me with all of my relationships - "The Five Love Languages". It's designed to help marriages, but I found it practical and useful for every relationship from friends and relatives to business and social encounters.
