Well folks, it looks like we're in it for the long haul. The economy seems to be teetering back and forth (but never far enough forth!).
Here in Florida the gas prices went up 10 cents in one week and then another 10 cents the week after.... I guess the oil companies are preparing for the Holiday travelers (many of whom have decided to stay home because of the gas prices...). Hmmm...
What about the truckers who are still trying to make a living....And so on, and so on....
It is time to be responsible with our money. Whenever possible, keep it!...(after paying the mortgage, utilities, car payment, school lunches, and, oh yes, gas to go to work - if you have a job).
What is my point?
Every day that we are still breathing and can open our eyes, be glad. Be glad if we have friends and family. Be glad if we have a roof over our head. Be glad if we have food to eat and water to drink.
Cry if we must, but remember to pray, laugh, sing, dance, smell the roses, pet a puppy,... enjoy what we do have. Concentrate on the moment - don't look to the past or the future. We can't change the past and we don't know the future.
I know, you have heard this a million times - now, a million and one. If necessary, tell yourself again and again (whenever you feel a case of the 'blues comin' on')....
Minute by minute, day by day, We will make it. We are all in this together.
