I understand that President Obama mentioned that there shouldn't be a law against the pants worn below the hips, but when in public, dress with respect. This is probably in response to the state wanting a law against the hanging pants with underware showing.
I personally like the way a school in Florida took care of it. They required the pants to be around the waist. Anyone who needed a belt was provided one. The students were told that it was to dress for success (even success in school), and the way they dress was how they are perceived.
Strangely enough I had a conversation with a mom who's son is wearing this style. She is having a problem trying to change it without pushing too hard. She was advised to let it "run it's course". It is true that the more you protest the more determined teens are to prove their individuality. Remember ??
