ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES

Sometimes it feels like I am in a fight with 'life'. I would venture a bet that most of you are feeling the same way now. Beat down and not sure whether to get back up and take another hit! Times are hard, demands are high, and compensations are low.

I'm trying a new strategy.

If I stay down - I'm OUT. If I stand back up - I'm a target. Maybe I can hold my own for a while if I 'roll', possibly dodging some blows and still be in the fight. I realize eventually I'll have to stand and fight back, but rolling for a while might buy me some time to recuperate from the last volley of blows. I tried fighting hard and fast, it just wore me out!

It is written - "having done all, stand". The word 'stand' in this case is an active stand.

Not at all meaning to stand there and be pummeled, rather to lean into the force and hold your place.

OK - so... my interpretation is: roll away from the blows and catch your breath (rolling is still being active), then get up and press in. Don't give up any ground once you stand, keep pressing in.
In other words, you can be down, just don't be out!

We'll make it (bruises and all) as long as we don't give up.
