IS IT FEASIBLE?

This is an unusual type blog for me, but here goes... the best I can do.

I have been following the plight of the children taken from the 'compound' in TX. My heart breaks for them and their mothers. We have not seen their fathers, but I'm sure some of them are suffering also.

These children will now possibly be placed in the Foster Care System; the same system that already has it's problems. The foster parents are expected to have a difficult time due to the children's fear of 'outsiders'. They have been taught not to look at 'outsiders', that 'we' are evil.
This whole situation seems overwhelming, but there must be a way to help them.

As my title proves, I don't claim to know; so I have a question. Would it be feasible for the Church of the Latter Day Saints in TX to absorb these children?

It seems to me that someone with the same BASIC beliefs could help them more than those of us who have no common ground. These children are reported to be at a lower education level than the 'norm'. That, combined with their fear and trauma, will make it a huge challenge for anyone who attempts to care for them.

MY PLEA IS:

If this is feasible and possible - Families of the LDS in TX, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, help these children.

I was raised in the LDS CHURCH. These people do not have the same belief system as the LDS Church. Yes we believe that families should stay together but the State of TX may have jumped the gun again. Remember WACO ? I think that the State has created a bigger mess and now there are a lot more people that will have a life time of problems. It may sound like a good idea for the LDS Church to get involved but it may not help in this case. These people have a right to be with their children if they are not doing anything wrong. They may have to be seperated from each other. I am talking each family group. But then they have a constitutional right to meet as a church. The State has an obligation now to do what is right for the children. That means if they are taken then the parents should have visitation rights even if it is supervised. Who is to say that this action was the best for the children. I heard last night that this raid may have been a false claim. If do then the State will need to justify it's actions.
