RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY

( I know I was lost again - sorry. But you can google me again, again.... Thanks for your patience.)

Tomorrow is the first day of spring - and we sure won't need April showers! Unless we're trying to drown the flowers.

Most of us in the middle of the country have had severe storms and drastic flooding. Again we find our friends and neighbors leaving their homes in boats. Many homes will need much time and money to repair. In the meanwhile, many people are dislocated. I suppose this is fresh for me, considering I am in the 'Katrina' zone.

We are not alone. Severe storms of all types including snow and ice have hit the country hard. Is there any thing we can do to help - sure there is. We know the ways - and some of us have the means, the time, and the stamina to do it; and are already doing it! What about those of us who aren't? We can all add a little something. Check with the local charities to see if there are specific needs. Let's make an effort to help. If we can't fill the need, maybe we can find someone who can. How about good thoughts and prayers. All of us can do that!

In the meanwhile, we can drive safely. Be aware of our surroundings at all times. Watch for slippery places, holes in the road filled with water, puddles that don't look deep, and water over the road that will stall the vehicle. Remember the traffic rules and abide by them. If the traffic signals are malfunctioning, treat every intersection as a four-way stop. Be patient, be courteous, and be considerate. This will keep us from contributing to the problems, and leave the emergency workers to do their jobs.

I will attempt to go back to a regular posting day - this may help you, my readers, more than the shotgun approach I am currently using. So - THURSDAY WILL BE 'NEW POSTING DAY'.
